Dr. Benjamin Portnoy is a Florida-licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy dedicated to guiding patients from post-surgical recovery to peak performance. A graduate of the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine—one of the nation’s leading DPT programs—he brings advanced clinical training, a performance-driven mindset, and a reputation for providing highly individualized, one-on-one care. As both a clinician and an athlete, Dr. Portnoy combines evidence-based rehab, biomechanics expertise, and manual therapy skills to deliver comprehensive treatment plans that address pain, movement dysfunction, strength deficits, and sport-specific demands.
Dr. Portnoy has extensive experience treating athletes and active individuals at every level—from youth sports and recreational runners to collegiate and professional performers. He has managed a wide range of orthopedic conditions, with a particular emphasis on post-operative rehabilitation for ACL, rotator cuff, labral, and joint replacement injuries. His certifications in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR), and his ongoing pursuit of Dry Needling allow him to serve as a true one-stop resource for patients who need to regain strength, mobility, and confidence as quickly and safely as possible. He also provides advanced running and gait analysis to optimize performance and prevent re-injury.
